Enter the arena !
News (september 2003) : I am (yet again) back on the project of the Arena after about two years down. I should put it back and running if I continue to have some time spent over it. Be advised in the meantime that it is NOT running !
All ideas displayed around are still valid, but might not make it into this round of development. Oh, and I (still) would need a bit of graphical help :p

Battle tactics
You will be able to tweak your battle tactics and decide your warrior reactions for each kind of possible attack or threat. You will also script his general attitude, aggressiveness, and use of special skills he has learnt, in order to gain advantage in battles.
Each battle can be played up to death (sometimes permanent !), first blood, knockout, or a limited duration (number of rounds).
Dungeons
In a second phase, temporary dungeons will be created at various times, where warriors will enter in groups. One room can be visited and played for one turn, and in each room you can encounter monsters, treasures, friends or foes. Once a dungeon is completed it will be destroyed and replaced. When exiting a dungeon, all loot will be split between group members. This will be done through agreement by vote from all characters.
Game world
In a third phase (long way off !), more towns will be added where you will be able to create characters, or move to. Journeying between towns will be an adventure by itself, and another kind of possible action.
Powerful characters will be allowed to open training schools, where they will share their knowledge in exchange for gold, items, or their own choice ! Shops and taverns will also be created by players, as well as buying their own house in a town. This will in turn allow rogues to perform their own activities...
These elements and even more are a bit far-stretched today, but I wanted to write them down :)
