Losing weight





I started around mid-april 99, a year ago, to care about my weight, at a time where I just couldnt buckle up anymore. I usually was around 80 to 80kgs, which was a lot higher than should be, but at this time I went up to 90kgs. I had to react fast...
The main motivation has been and stayed all along to keep track of the results. I bought very precise scales (100 grs), and tested daily. The first test, at 89kgs, was a real shock ! I thought by then I could perhaps lose 100grs every other day or so.
In a first period, I replaced the evening meal with a slim-fast stuff. That was supposed to compensate for hunger a bit, but thats not really efficient for that. Anyway, it was a first step. Then the classic noon meal also got lighter, down to a sandwich or a salad. I quickly almost stopped eating in the evening. This is not recommended, but that certainly has quick effects.
After 4 months I reach my first objective, between 70 and 72 kgs, which is the average for my size. I didnt practice much sports during this period, I simply reduce a lot food consumption. At times you get very hungry, and then you'd better try not to fall. The easiest is not to have food at home, or a few fruits, perhaps some pastas in case of emergency.
A second period saw a lot more sports, to get fit. I thought I could lose a few more unneeded kilos, to get closer to 65. I reached that 8 months after the start, counting that I stayed at 70 for a complete month. The effort was a lot higher, with weight lifting 2 or 3 times a week for instance, and consumption still low.
After reaching this stage and stabilizing, I only tracked my weight weekly. On some occasions or trips, I get back up a bit, but its usually easy to lose again. I'm still now between 65 and 66, 66.5.
