It uses the basic idea of a prince turned into a frog, but the other way round. Garulfo, the frog made man, does this from his own will, hoping to change his life of suffering and prey. About this last point, it seems at the beginning he was living quite a nice life in his lake. But, being a devout of the race of man, he decides to trespass all limits, signs a pact with a witch, and manages to transform into a handsome prince ! He jumps around happily at first, but very quickly encounters some major drawbacks of human society. The clear, precise, colourful style is a delight, and still includes a few backgrounds details for us to marvel at.
