The cristal-eyed Ogre
Garulfo and Romuald are the leading heroes of this album, but barely. As they are set out to find princess Héphylie, she stars in a major supporting role this time. She reveals as a daring, although a bit naive, adventure and romance seeker, precisely in the way Garulfo is.
She encounters a fearful ogre, said to eat children, or at least that's what peasants from his region believe. His size, strength and manners are mighty enough to conceal his true nature, but Héphylie will past the barriers and discover his true self.
In this episode, a really great scene takes place, with Romuald (turned into a frog), explains to Garulfo, along with every animal around, how the medieval society works. His tale is a night of peace between preys and predators, ending with the sunrise.
