Empire State Building

The Empire States is the most famous, beloved, and (once again) the highest of all NYC buildings. Everyone knows is from King Kong for instance, or for Sleepless in Seattle (the ending sequence being filmed on the top of it).

It really is a landmark, and a useful sight to find your way around the city.

Just on the foot of the thing. Yes its huge, but as you will see, not as huge as any bird can fly on top of it...

The gold-plated entrance...

...and just a bit of waiting later, with a 80-floor direct lift, you get to the panorama view. Darn, there was clouds just this day ! Still, the sights are impressive, with the small Chrysler here...

...looking north, the Fifth...

...still north, but closer, the NY Public Library, on the right of the Bryant Park...

...looking east, the Madison Square Garden is the round thingy on the left, behind a medium-sized building.

Looking east but a bit norther, is the Fleet I talk about in another serie.

Plain south, the lower manhattan part can still be distinguished.

And south east, with the Brooklyn Bridge.

As close down to the building I could manage, cars do get real small.

Them pigeons, they dont care about heights !
